Day 51 my last weekend of summer break

I am home from conference. Las Vegas was fun and tiring. 

The bathroom remodel project is getting close to being complete. 

The sink just needs to be hooked up to make it usable. 

Next week we call the glass door company to get them to come and measure. 

We also have the medicine cabinet to be installed and a built-in cabinet over the toilet that it still being built. 

Today is Saturday. Day 51 of my summer break. I will be back to work on Monday. So this my last daily entry. I will, however, post some pictures here when the bathroom is complete. 

It has been an interesting experience keeping a blog. I will probably do it again sometime

Day 50 (Day 5 of conference) + (Day 10 bathroom remodel)

Last day of CSEA conference. This morning we vote for association offices. 

Installation if officers for the California School Employees Association. 

It is now 3:30 and I am waiting for the shuttle to pick me up. 

Be back in California in a few hours. 

Day 49 (Day 4 of conference ) + (Day 9 of bathroom remodel)

Today we are looking at the CSEA budget. We will be voting on the budget probably late this morning or early this afternoon. 

We broke for the day around 1:00 in preparation for tonight's dinner dance from 7:30 to 11:00

Pretty good big band. 

The river dancers were good to. 

Then we danced the night away. 

Day 48 (day 3 CSEA conference) + (day 8 bathroom remodel

Today is t-shirt day. 

We will resume our work on resolutions.

It is 11:30 and we are done with resolutions. 

12:30 and we are out for lunch

This place makes a pretty good vegetable sandwich. 

 Plus this afternoon we will be helping our brothers an sisters in the culinary and hospitality workers union, Unite Here! We will be helping them picket the Cosmopolitan

Day 47 (Day 2 CSEA conference) +( Day 7 bathroom remodel)

Acton on resolutions. 

Membership voting on resolution. 

Conference went to 11pm tonight. A lot of the resolutions took some time to debate. 

Nothing to new in the bathroom front. I guess I could show you the switches. 

Day 46 (day 1 Las Vegas conference) + ( day 6 bathroom remodel)

7:30 am went for a walk. A very pleasant 75 degrees. 

Walked across the street to the new Aria hotel and casino and their Crystal mall.

Conference floor with 1485 delegates in attendance. 

This afternoon is speeches by candidates for office. This is an election year for association officers. 

After the dinner break we start on resolutions. Resolutions are the major part of the conference. We will probably be discussing and voting on resolutions through Wednesday night. 

As for the bathroom at home. It doesn't look much different yet. But out sink and vanity arrived. 

It is in the dinning room at the moment. 

I think that is it for today.

Day 45 off to Vegas for union conference

It is 9:00 am and I am just arriving at the Oakland airport. I have a 10:50 flight to Las Vegas. 

Made it to Vegas

Got checked in to the Paris Las Vegas hotel. 

Nice room. As usual. 

Conference starts tomorrow (Monday )
